For 7-11 year olds (Key Stage 2 in England)
we produce two maths adventure titles with historical themes,
which make them suitable for cross-curricula working. Both these
programs may also be used at home or in after school clubs.
In The Roman Adventure children are sent back in time
to explore a Roman town, and they can take part in 11 stimulating
maths activities with to win pieces of treasure for a modern
day museum.

In the Calabash Pirates children take the role of pirates
looking for treasure on a tropical island. It involves
children in mathematical, geographical and historical activities
requiring puzzle solving, decision making and planning
skills to find solutions.

Do you remember?
Some teachers may remember some of our simulation titles which
we have previously published for this age group:
Flight Path
Where children planned a
flight across Europe, making stops to pick up extra passengers,
and heading corrections to allow for the wind.
Search & Rescue
For this rescue off
the coast of Dorset children needed to plan the route to follow
and the amount of fuel needed
Coffee
In this simulation, users were
running a coffee plantation in a tropical country
Round
the World Yacht Race
Produced in
association with British Steel, children needed to select provisions
and a route for yachts to sail around the world.
