Smudge Spells

An comprehensive first spelling program

Smudge Spells is a first spelling program which enables children of different ages and abilities to practise the spelling of words, through nine different activities, each of which have their own variations. These activities may be used time and time again.

There are more than 30 different topics supplied (which includes short vowels, plurals, suffixes, prefixes, magic e’s). and teachers can select different categories of words to use with each of these types. As you may expect, there is a large vocabulary of words with pictures and sounds, and there are three optional animated themes featuring Smudge at sea!

The program is supported by a user guide, a spelling reference, and spelling lists. The reporting section allows each child’s progress to be assessed.
