Smudge’s Numeracy Collection
The Numeracy Collection is a collection of different
activities to introduce and improve numeracy skills, including
counting, reading, writing, ordering, addition and subtraction,
for children aged 4 years and above.
The collection, featuring the award winning Smudge the Spaniel,
is also suitable for use with interactive whiteboards and
has been accredited as "Approved for SMART Board",
and includes:
- Counting Numbers
- Dot to Dot, in which children join the dots from
1-10, 1-20 or 1-30
- Count and Colour where a picture is shown with
blank areas containing sums which children need to colour
in with the colour matching the answer. The sums may be
addition, subtraction, missing numbers (2 + ? = 5), and
multiplication (2, 5 and 10 tables)
- Smudge’s Sorter
- Directing Smudge to help with spatial skills and hand-eye
co-ordination
- Launch Pad, and
- Flash Quiz to test
multiplication skills.
The collection also contains a Move
and Match activity taken
from the Pairing program, for matching numbers to dots.
