Mapcaster
We are pleased to have launched Mapcaster. We have been
trialling it with a number of schools during 2009, and it is
a program that we shall continue to develop, with new features
and an online version during the coming year.
MapCaster allows children to create or use a map of an area
of interest and to allow children to add photos, videos or podcasts
about of the places on the map, which can be presented by children
to the whole class. More information about Mapcaster, including a link
to a YouTube demo is here.

De-Pict
Storm Educational now has a sister company, De-Pict Systems Ltd, which supplies
digital signage systems to opticians and to estate agents. We have been involved for
a number of years as developer and recently this grew to taking on the running of the whole business.
For schools we can offer a number of digital signage systems, from inexpensive entry level,
through to network and internet updateable, including RSS feeds. We also have a unique three screen
system. More information is available here.
Whiteboard news
We
have been working with Steljes, the interactive whiteboard
maunfacturer of the SMART Board, who have accredited our
range of software with "Approved for SMART Board" status,
and have included the software in the range of titles they
resell.
Online demo areas
We are due to launch online versions of our products, and
the first step in this direction is that we have an online
