The
Roman Adventure requires Java to be installed on your
system. If you can not see the picture of the Roman person
on the right, you need to install Java.

Troubleshooting
When running inside a browser, if you see a big red
X or a grey box instead of
The Roman Adventure, you will need to install Java, as above, by clicking
on this link.
If at the top of the screen you see:
"To help protect your security, Internet
Explorer has restricted this website from running scripts ... Click
here for options ..."
To remove this message (which is a recent change to Internet Explorer), on the menu bar of Internet Explorer:
Click on Tools, then on Internet Options, then on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Security settings and enable the options
to:
"Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer" and
"Allow active content to run in files on My Computer"
Alternatively, you could click on that line, and click on the
option "Allow
blocked content", and say "yes" to
the question. It should allow the activity to run, but you would
need to do this every time an activity is used.
