We have been producing educational software for many years,
and are best known for the “Smudge
the Spaniel” range
of software which introduces and re-inforces basic skills,
with titles in numeracy, literacy, science, geography and punctuation.
Our software runs from CD-ROM and online and may be used with Windows and
Apple Mac computers (as well as Linux) and are suitable for use with interactive
whiteboards. The most recent development is SCORM wrapped content for VLE's, which
has been tested on Moodle, Fronter, Kaleidos and Frog to name a few!
Mapcaster
MapCaster is our new program which allows children to
create or use a map of an area of interest and to allow children to add photos,
videos or podcasts about of the places on the map, which can be presented by children

Smudge’s Early Compass and Map Skills
We are about to launch the first title in the Smudge’s First
Steps in Geography series, a set of interactive
geography titles. This first title covers Compass Points
and Map Skills for children aged 4 to 8 years. Preview
